Some Fashionable Inspiration {wink}

I had a really sweet moment with my husband this morning {they happen often, and I just have to capture this one}. As we were getting ready to go to work, my husband with a cute sad face asks me why I didn't wake him up early. Being that we both are still tired from our camping trip I thought to let him sleep in this morning. I asked him why he wanted to be up early and he said so he can make me breakfast {smile}. I am truly blessed to have the husband that I have.

We decided that this Saturday we're gonna go on a coffee date together at a local coffee place down the street from our little home.

It has a nice atmosphere and free wifi, so maybe I'll have a chance to blog and post pics {wink}.
I love Saturdays with the husband. Maybe we'll have a nice lunch at a restaurant. The world is ours to conquer this weekend.

I plan on getting a lot done on my home. It is agreed with the husband that he will help me clean. Hopefully I will get a special package in the mail this week that will give me some inspiration. {smile}.

On a fashion note, I am itching to update my wardrobe. I am thinking of throwing another Sweet Swap Party. I threw one a couple of months ago and it was a huge success. We had delicious hors d'oeuvres and all walked away with great pieces. That's the great part about having fashionable friends {♥}.

After looking at different fashion blogs I have been looking for some new inspiration and I have found that Princess Kate is in the bin.

She is beautfiul, classy and has amazing style. She carries herself with such elegance and grace and I think she is a wonderful role-model to women.

Even working out she is cute.
I adore this outfit. It's stunning.

Isn't she beautiful? I am thinking of adding more classic pieces like this to my wardrobe.

So I decided to scour some stores and begin a wishlist. I found these at Dillards and already notified the hubby. I just love nude pumps. They go with mostly any outfit {if not every} and they slim your leg. Incredibly sexy.

Friday is payday- let's see what things I bring home this weekend{sly grin}.

Until later.

Organization.

When it comes to organization the hubby calls me OCD. Does anyone else relate? I love organization. I love things to be clean and am a firm advocate of 'A place for everything, everything in it's place". Do I have the pleasure of living like this 24/7? {smile} Unfortunately no. {I live with a boy, remember?} But I do do my best to live like I love.

I color code everything. Being the artistic person that I am my brain works best when I correlate things with color. I remember things better and, well, things just {make sense}.

I am beginning my take on making my own jewelry {its super fun}, and if you were to open my little cubbies of beads this is what you would literally find:

To me the world makes more sense when you know where everything is at. ESPECIALLY in regards to the fashion sense. How can you save time when you have a cluttered closet? You have no idea where your outfits are, and you waste money. You never knew you had that cute black blouse because you haven't seen it in months so you go out and shop for another one.

I love to coordinate everything. At my mom's house I installed a closet system, and luckily my cute apartment has something manageable. Nothing like what I had but it is big. {I will have to take a picture one day}.

I am working at getting my drawers to be like this:
Doesn't this make your heart smile?
My husband will probably hate me for it because he will more than likely not be able to upkeep with it {lol} but I feel like there is no reason why we can't make our home a paradise. I love the idea of my home being like a wonderful guest house. Who wants their home to be a place they don't like to reside in?

For the past month I have been working on making our home our paradise :)
We have a cute approximate 800 square foot apartment and I am getting good at making it our own little place. Its {cute yet functional}.

I am gonna work at my house again this Saturday. Maybe post some pics of the weekend and my house progress {smile}. I told the hubby that he must build me a closet like this whenever we build our home. The blessed princess that I am he agreed. {wink}.

Tips on Clearing Your Clutter:

An easy way to remember how to keep clutter away and have an organized home is to think of the acronym S.P.A.C.E.

The acronym stands for:

Sort. Sort items into categories and group similar items.

Purge. Purge to reduce the quantity and keep only what you really use, love, and get rid of the rest. If you haven't used it in 12 months toss it.

Assign. Assign a home for items. Decide if you need it on a shelf, drawer, bin or a certain section of your closet/cabinets.

Containerize. Separate items with containers or dividers.

Equalize. Equalize and maintain the system. Don't think of it so much as a hassle of putting things away as much as getting it ready for it's next use. You'll love that its right there when you need it.

Better Homes and Gardens is a great place to get ideas and tips and help get started. I subscribed for a year subscription to there magazine and can't wait to receive it in the mail.

Happy Organizing.

Home! ♥

Running hot water. Warm bed. Make up. Heels. ♥

Ahhh I'm back! And boy did I have a blast. I never knew that camping could be such fun. I will have to post pictures soon {smiles}. I encountered so many things out in the forest. We saw elk, squirrels, cranes, snakes, and fuzzy caterpillars. Not to mention we ate amazing.

Day 1:
We left way early in the morning. We were up by 4 getting ready for our 4 day adventure. We left the house at 5 and were on the road by 5:45.

Our Wedding Day

Here are some of our pictures as earlier promised. Seeing them makes me wanna get married all over again ♥

Mr. & Mrs. Gabriel R. Holguin

Behind every great man is an even greater woman {wink}. Right ladies?

This is by far my most favorite shot.

New Day.

Another brand new day.A lot was accomplished this week, and as a reward: the next four days of simple camping bliss. {all smiles}. I would really love to skip work today but I must endure till 5:00. At least lunch with the hubby will make it all better! Lunch with him always makes the days go by faster and better.

Now to make a shopping list, cleaning to-do list, and a packing list {I love lists can you tell?}. Time for this busy little bee to get to it! Hope I don't get to bed too late that way I am not exhausted for our little trip tomorrow.

I can't wait to come back and share the fun experiences and wonderful photos.

Before I leave for today, I will leave you with this:

[A virtuous woman] opens her mouth in skillful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness [giving counsel and instruction].
Proverbs 31:26 AMP.

See you all next week! Have a safe, great weekend. I sure know I will! :)

One of those mornings.... :)

Its one of those mornings! Forgot that I set my alarm ahead so I could sleep in yesterday and forgot to change it back last night- so needless to say I woke up late today. On the way late to work I forgot the breakfast my husband made me on the counter. Went to post something this morning on my Facebook page and didn't realize I was accidentally typing in the "Search Box" instead of my "Status Box" so it didn't get posted lol.  So at least my lunch and my head made it with me this morning :)

Soooooooooooo............... One more day and then CAMPING!!!!!!!!! :) I am uber excited for it. I can't wait to get away from the world and just enjoy a huge beautiful lake, grass, pine trees and wonderful company.

Have I mentioned that THIS is the OASIS I'm going to ???!!!!! :) I never knew that something this beautiful could exist in the same state I'm in!

It's gonna be nice to not have to communicate with anyone. To live so carefree for four days. What a haven :) I need to make my list today of stuff not to forget. And I need to clear my camera and charge it :) ahhhh!!

I am so blessed to be able to do this! I hope it's an amazing experience that I always remember. I hope I can tough it out. I have a girly side but I also grew up with brothers and was a tomboy for most of my life. Maybe I'll go back to climbing trees like I used to. Who knows?

To me, this is my weekend to explore and reconnect with life. Things have been so much better for me since I have started this blog. I forgot how therapeutic writing was for my soul. I'm so glad I finally took the step to make this blog. I thought to start one to capture life being married. I really wanted to have a blog before we got pregnant so I could see how things have changed, and so my kids can see how I was before being a mom.

It's kinda weird how I might be a mom one day {unless God comes before then}. I'm kinda scared to go through pregnancy. I wonder how my body will change? I hear amazing stories about being pregnant and then I hear horror stories about being pregnant lol. I hope any and all of my pregnancies are easy and not with a lot of problems.

We'll see whenever the Lord makes it happen.... :)

Well, those are my random babblings for today.

I will see you all tomorrow if I don't write later.

Until next time :)

Joyful...

Hello :)! It's a new day full of new promises! And I can't wait to begin them.

Tonight us ladies go grocery shopping for our camping trip. I am so excited for that!
Me and my hubby really need this little vacay. 3 more days of work and then 4 days of
splendid time with nature :). I need to start making my list of things I can't forget.
It will be a bummer not to be able to write while I'm gone but I can't wait to share the stories
and share the pics.

I am extremely ecstatic for lunch today. I packed a yummy salad! I have been craving one
since yesterday.

Well, as my blog has kind of been a journey about my growth, I would like to say that my
marriage is growing quite lovely. Although this weekend has been filled with frustrations regarding
our car {and we have fought a little bit} our love and make-ups seem to be growing so much
deeper. I simply {love} it.

I am very thankful for my husband. More and more I feel like he is becoming my bestest friend.
Even though I struggle some times with opening up, once I do it's like I let him in to the most
amazing, profound areas of my heart and he begins to open up my world with such love and
such beauty.

I love it when I hear our old love songs. They send love chills down my spine and it draws me
back to the moments where slowly he won my heart. And he did it by really loving me. By
truly accepting me.

I never imagined that God would make someone to see me so beautiful. Ha sometimes I tell him
that God must have made him blind in order for me to see my like he does. He doesn't like it when
I tell him that lol but it amazes me how a man can love me so much.

And it makes me wonder why I sometimes want to push it away. Why sometimes I want to give up.
I really think it's because I don't ever wanna risk getting hurt. When you get a fairy tale prince and a
fairy tale love- it's hard not to believe that it's all gonna fade and turn into a horrible nightmare.

He has sacrificed a lot just to love me. He went through a lot just to date me {poor guy}. But he did it
all for me. And every night when I go to sleep he's there. And every morning when I wake up he's there.

I am so blessed to have him. And I really should take the time to realize this more often.

I want to be the best wife that I can be for him.

He truly deserves it.......

We all make mistakes, and I think I need to learn how to be more understanding. Love keeps no record
of wrongs- and even though I don't judge either of us for what we've gone through together as a couple- I
think at times I don't realize that I don't fully let things go.

I am very thankful that God has been teaching me a lot of things behind the scenes in my marriage. He has
really been directing my heart and showing me things as a wife that I need to work on; and it is sculpting the
love that I have for my husband. I am not perfect and sometimes I throw my tantrums, but I am a willing
work in progress.

I love my husband with all my heart :) and I can't wait to spend a lifetime learning everything about him and
making him happy. We can grow together or we can grow apart and I choose to grow together ♥.

So last but not least:

I SHOULD BE GETTING A TATTOO NEXT FRIDAY :)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I designed it myself :) I won't give any more details other than that :) once I get it I will post a pic.

That's all for today :)

 Until next time.

Trading Sorrow For Joy :)

Blah. There was so much that happened this weekend that I don't even know where or how to start- all I do know is that I must write.

I had a bitter sweet weekend. Had some good times with friends and family. To be honest I don't remember what we did Friday...I think we spent it with family...NO wait! We went to a going-away party for Ryan. I had fun and ate good :) but Saturday was an eventful day. Me and Gabriel woke up and I declared it a 'Sleep In-No Clean' day! It was nice to just relax with one another. We then decided to get up and hit up Savers. I found a mini cupcake pan for $3.99 and a wooden tray that I have been wanting for our ottoman for only $2.99. Some great sales if I do say so myself :), we then went to a pawn shop, I have never been to one before :) found some interesting knives, jewelry and cameras. I found an old Polaroid camera for cheap that I really wanted. Maybe I will take a visit back. Seeing knives gave Gabe an itch for a new knife so we went to Peddlers Pavilion to look around for one. Didn't find one there so we went to Big 5 and found a sweet one for only $9.99! It's gonna be a great camping knife for this weekend.Came with a compass too :)

We then went to Wal*Mart  and bought stuff for a cake. We had a BBQ planned with the Asel's and Medina's at 4:00. We got back home at 12:30 and Gabriel's dad called him to help him take stuff to the dump at 1:30. He was cleaning out his shed and needed help loading the trailer to take, which Gabriel found out later. We thought that part was already done at the time.

So Gabriel left and I stayed home making the cake. It was already 2:30 and Gabriel still wasn't back so I ended up having a nice lunch with my mom at the mall :). I get home at 3:20ish to get a call from Gabriel that our car completely stopped on him. My heart kinda sunk. Another car problem to deal with! Luckily his dad was able to help him get the car off the road. This time our timing belt broke. We were able to get a ride to the cook out by our good friends. We were an hour and a half late but it still turned out great :)

We had some fun. Had some good burgers, potato salad and swam all evening. His dad stayed working on it from 6 to about 1 in the morning. Our good friends lend us one of their cars. So we were able to get to church the next morning.

After church we went to his dad's and started working on the car again. We got everything off and found more belts that needed to be replaced. So off to the store to spend more money. We get back- finish everything up and start it. NO GOOD. One of two things: the valves got bent- or the timing belt was slightly off. We were hoping for the latter.

After 7 hours of working on the car we still don't have it running. So we left it and joined our friends at the light parade. It gets worse every year but it was nice to get our minds off of things. Afterwards we went to our friends (Medina's) house but we all got hit with being tired from a long day so we left.

So yesterday morning we slept in just a little. We then started getting ready and got up to go help our Dad again. They borrowed a car computer reader to see exactly if it was the timing belt or the valve, and it was the valve. So now we have to remove the part and give it to one of his dad's mechanic friends- and some more replacement needs to be done- and some more money.

So four loads of laundry, more money, and some quality time later- we feel like we are back at square one lol. Lets just say this was not how I pictured my Fourth of July weekend. And my poor father-in-law spent it all working on our car. I just wish we could go get a new vehicle but at the moment we can't. God must have a purpose for this 'cause He knows we don't have the money for this.

I am trying to keep a positive attitude but I broke down and cried this morning. I was so angry at the situation. Not even at God, just with everything else. You feel hopeless. And it feels like when it rains it pours. I am trying so hard to have a mind like Christ. I want to make Him happy. I want to pass the test and I try to remain inspired by Job.

I want to see the good in all of this but sometimes its hard. Especially when everything feels hopeless. I know God has everything in control but sometimes it just feels like there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

I just gotta remain positive and keep my trust in the Lord. He is my helper and redeemer and I just gotta remind myself that He is always Faithful.

So to keep myself reminded let me list all the ways I was blessed this weekend. I am a firm believer that we are blessed more than we are afflicted :).

*Again, life and a beautiful family/marriage and a group of friends.

*Although we were unable to fix our car, our friends lent us one and we were still able to get around.

*We had a good meal all weekend. And food always makes things better :)

*I tried some great new things this Saturday at the BBQ. Even had some amazing home-made peach ice cream :) that was memorable.

*Again, very grateful for my father-in-law. He worked on our car all weekend and we didn't have to pay for     labor (Even though when we do have money we want to take him out to eat and buy him a gift).

*I was able to really bond and have a good time with my stepmother-in-law. I really enjoyed that part of this weekend because even though me and Gabriel have been together since 2009 I haven't really had a chance to do that.

*We were able to get a lot of laundry done at my in-laws while the boys worked on the car, so that's good :) free laundry!

*I was blessed with some free clothes this weekend. Always a plus!

*Went to a great BBQ yesterday and had some amazing stuff from the grill! Martin is a beast :) LOL! and I got to watch an amazing firework display with my husband and star gaze- which I haven't done in a while. It was pretty cool :) I took pictures and plan on uploading them tonight. Of the cake too :) and I also got to get to spend some time with another amazing couple. I hope we get to become good friends :)

*All in all I had a great weekend :) had some amazing time with my family and got to end last night seeing my mom. I love her so much.  The car problems do stink- but if I take the time to realize and count all the ways that I have been blessed it kinda outweighs the bad.

Thanks for that :)

Until tonight :)...

Angel Flight

This morning when I came to work we had an employee meeting.Little did I know how touching it would be. As we all gathered around in our red, white and blue outfits the president of our bank begins to play this beyond touching video. As I began to see the sacrifice of our soldiers tears began to roll down my face as it reminded me of God's unfailing love for me. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son. That whoseover believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

I stood reminded that freedom isn't free. Here on Earth, and in regards to salvation. Someone paid a price for both. I pray that daily I remember not to take that for granted. I don't want to just remember and be appreciative just this weekend or on Veterans Day or Memorial Day.

I am going to share with you the lyrics of the song in the video this morning.

Angel Flight

All I ever wanted to do was fly
Leave this world and live in the sky
I left the C130 out of Fort Worth town
I go up some days I don't wanna come down

Well I fly that plane called the Angel Flight
Come on brother you're with me tonight
Between Heaven and earth you're never alone
On the Angel Flight
Come on brother I'm taking you home

I love my family and I love this land
But tonight this flight's for another man
We do what we do because we heard the call
Some gave a little, but he gave it all

I fly that plane called the Angel Flight
Come on brother you're with me tonight
(Come on brother you're with me tonight)
Between Heaven and earth you're never alone
On the Angel Flight
Come on brother I'm taking you home
Come on brother I'm taking you home

Well, the stars are quiet and the stars are bright
Feels kinda like church in here tonight
It don't matter where we touch down
On the Angel Flight its sacred ground

I fly that plane called the Angel Flight
Gotta hero riding with us tonight
Between Heaven and earth you're never alone
On the Angel Flight
Come on brother I'm taking you home
Come on brother I'm taking you home
Come on brother I'm taking you home
Come on brother I'm taking you home

This is a shot that was shown in the video. Brought tears to my eyes.
I don't know if I will be able to write this weekend until I return back to work on Tuesday, so in case I don't
I want to wish everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July.
